peter Carcas, Chairman, ETC Sussex
Peter founded etc sussex to help meet the education and training needs of people from disadvantaged communities in Sussex. Using his experience in the fields of education and guidance he undertakes our funding applications, helps with IT and provides the Morrisby Profile Guidance Service.
Peter has been active in the voluntary sector for over 35 years, having set up several leading Hastings based charities. He is currently a trustee of five Sussex based charities, including being the Chairman of three of them.
He was formerly the Director of Learning and Skills for Sussex Careers Service, first Director of the ‘East Sussex Education Business Partnership’ and founding Vice Chairman of the ‘National Association for Assessment and Guidance’.
He has a Degree in Occupational Psychology and is a qualified Careers Adviser.

Helen Barraclough, CHIEF EXECUTIVE, ETC Sussex
Helen worked in finance for many years before running a successful business in the craft industry supplying many large department stores including Harrods.
She became a self-employed trainer in 2001.
Helen has been active in the voluntary sector since 2005, having been involved with several Hastings based charities.

CALVIN HUMPHRIES, PROJECT WORKER
Calvin is a certified teacher (holding a PGCE) and has been working in community learning for just over a decade now.
He has worked for a variety of nonprofits across Hastings and Rother, and maintains solid links with other stakeholders within the local community. These links become valuable when he is running outreach support sessions, project work, or to find his clients the right support services to meet all of their needs. |
